I am a molecular biologist, currently completing my doctorate thesis on plant-pathogen molecular interactions. I am also particularly interested in the communication of science to the public and I am currently teaching biology to high school students in Japan. this section contains science-related material that I find particularly inspiring.

Randolph Nesse is the author of 'Why We Get Sick: The New Science of Darwinian Medicine". This is to me one of the very best introductions to evolutionary medecine ever, well worth a watch or two!

Daniel DennettDaniel Clement Dennett (born March 28, 1942 in Boston, Massachusetts) is a prominent American philosopher whose research centers on philosophy of mind, philosophy of science and philosophy of biology, particularly as those fields relate to evolutionary biology and cognitive science. He is currently the Co-Director of the Center for Cognitive Studies and the Austin B. Fletcher Professor of Philosophy at Tufts University. Dennett is also a noted atheist and advocate of the Brights movement.
