Please note that this is only the rough version (made quickly in prevision of the grading to come). This will ultimately become the DAA Grading Syllabus DVD following official Aikikai standards. The DVD will include brand new footage for all the techniques, multiangle options and detailed close-up windows for pins and locks. Updates about the progress of the project will be published regularly. In the meantime, we hope you will find this useful and we wish you good luck for the exam. Keep in mind that this is only intended as a learning aid and will in no way replace assiduous practice in your dojo.

The following rules are destined to make the most of the practice time while on the mat. Although there seem to be many forms of etiquette to remember, they will come naturally as you continue to train. Please do not resent it if you are corrected on a point of etiquette for each one is important to your safety and to the learning experience.

We strongly recommend a focused training 6 months ahead of the date. Yudansha application form (also available to fill online) must be filled six months prior to the grading and a final list of courses attended must be submitted two weeks before grading.
